Polypoles at the heart of the energy transition

Updated February 18, 2026

In February, Polypoles delivered two new Värmebaronen EP G2 1400 kW electric boilers for a new GEOMALAK geothermal station in Malakoff.

This equipment ensures :
Boosting the heating and hot water network when ground-source heat pumps (GHPs) reach their capacity limits during the coldest winter periods.
✅ A back-up solution in the event of maintenance or shutdown of the main plant

How does geothermal energy work?

Geothermal energy harnesses the heat naturally stored underground. At a depth of almost 2 kilometers, a geological formation known as the Dogger contains hot water at temperatures in excess of 60°C. This heat is recovered via a dedicated installation, then distributed through a district heating network to supply buildings. After use, the water is reinjected deep underground, guaranteeing a controlled, sustainable cycle.

With over 36 years’ experience, Polypoles supports professionals with reliable, high-performance electric boiler solutions from 31 to 1500 kW, designed to meet customers’ needs . Thanks to its network of 7 branches across France, the company guarantees responsiveness, proximity and expertise for every electric boiler rental job.
